About Estradiol Valerate (Delestrogen®)
Estradiol Valerate (Delestrogen®) is an intramuscular (into the muscle) injection of estrogen that is prescribed to women to prepare their uterine lining for a frozen embryo transfer (FET). Estradiol Valerate is also used to treat a lack of estrogen in women due to menopause, hypogonadism, or primary ovarian failure, and in men to treat prostate cancer.

Side Effects & Warnings
Common side effects of Estradiol Valerate include:
- Headache
- Breast pain
- Irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting
- Stomach/abdominal cramps
- Nausea and vomiting
- Hair loss
Call your doctor right away if you experience any of the following less common but serious side effects of Estradiol Valerate, including:
- Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction such as: swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing
- Breast lumps
- Unusual vaginal bleeding
- Dizziness/faintness
- Changes in speech
- Severe headaches
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Pain in your legs
- Changes in vision
- Vomiting
